We have the matching desk and bought this piece as a printer stand. Works great for that purpose and looks as good as the desk.

Not using it for its intended purpose. We are using it as a side table and did not install the rack system for files. It has doubled as a duraflame log hider which is great for us. Good solid piece of furniture.

While this looks nice and is functional once assembled, it is harder to assemble than it should be. The instructions are not clear, and the screws take considerable strength to get in place. I am familiar with assembly furniture, but the instructions here are not well engineered.

This file looks good, however, it is difficult to assemble. Assembly requires that holes in two boards be perfectly aligned with holes in the file top so that they can be attached with screws: the perfect alignment has not happened for me. The designers of the file need to come up with a better way of attaching the file top.
